Settings
Access settings by tapping the Settings icon (gear) in the app.
Profile
- Name: Update your display name
- Avatar: Choose or change your profile picture
- Email: View your account email. To change it, contact hello@balancebudget.app
- Email Verification: If your email isn’t verified, you’ll see a prompt to resend the verification link

Change Password
Update your password from the profile settings. If you share your account with a partner, make sure to share the updated password with them.
Biometric Login
On iOS and Android, toggle biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint) on or off. When enabled, you can log in with your biometric instead of typing your password. Your biometric data never leaves your device. See Security for more.
Plan & Subscription
Go to Profile > Plan & Subscription to open the Stripe customer portal in your browser. From there you can update payment, change your plan, or cancel. See Subscription & Billing for details.
Help & Preferences
From this section you can:
- Access Live Chat (powered by Tawk.to) for real-time support
- Email support at hello@balancebudget.app
- Toggle marketing emails on or off
- Visit the r/BalanceBudget community
Account Settings (Per Bank)
Each connected bank account has its own settings. Tap any account to access:
- Show Transactions: Toggle off to hide an account’s transactions from your daily view
- Include in Balance: Toggle off to exclude an account from your total balance display

A Note on Notifications and Dark Mode
Notifications and dark mode are present in the app’s codebase but are not currently active. These features may become available in a future update.
