Balance is available on iOS, Android, and the web. You can use the same account across your devices.
Can we use Balance on different phones?
Yes. You and your partner can use separate devices, including an iPhone and an Android phone, while working from one shared account. Both of you use the same login credentials and choose your own profile. A profile is not a separate login: both partners can see and manage all connected accounts, transactions, and categories. See partner setup before you start.
If you want a shared household budget you can check on your phone or computer, that is the experience Balance is built for. If you need private categories or independent partner logins, choose a tool with those controls.

Your budget and transactions sync across devices. Bank updates depend on the connection and when new data is available; a purchase may not appear immediately.
Biometric Login
On iOS and Android, enable Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint login for quick access. Toggle this in Settings . Your biometric data stays on your device and is never sent to Balance.
Pull-to-Refresh
On the transactions page, pull down to check for new transactions from your bank. Balance syncs automatically in the background, but pull-to-refresh gives you an on-demand update whenever you want it.
Background Sync
The app syncs your data in the background so your transactions and budget stay up to date across devices. When you open Balance, you’ll see your latest information.
Web App
The web app at app.balancebudget.app lets you work on your budget in a modern browser. Biometric login is not available on the web.
Tips
- Log in on multiple devices with the same credentials. Your data stays in sync.
- If you share your account with a partner, both of you can be logged in on separate devices at the same time. Just switch to your own profile .
- For the best experience on mobile, keep the app updated to the latest version.
